This handsome guy accomplished a big goal and milestone today and we are SO PROUD! Derek ran a half-marathon this morning…the Cowtown in Forth Worth. 13.1 miles! In 2:05!!
Even with breaking the treadmill and some minor injuries this last month, he made it! Way to go, D!
Caleb got his numbers a little mixed up and put 31.1 miles – Derek is counting his blessings that it was only 13 and not 31 miles – he says he wouldn't have made it. :)

Matt came in yesterday and told me I should just head on over and run the race this morning–I think he forgot he was married to the most non-spontaneous person ever!

The cutest thing about this (besides the hard work, so YAY Derek), is the picture that says “muscle man” on it. What a great view of your Dad – it’s nice to have that as one of his many attributes – especially from a son’s perspective 🙂
