I’ve decided that living in a house full of boys isn’t so bad…because I get to be "queen".  It has its challenges though…for example, when you find things like this in your guest bathroom tub…

It’s called a "grow" shark.  It "grows" for 7 days in water.  Uhh…isn’t that a standing water hazard?! Anyone?!  Plus, is that really what we want to use to greet guests?

In other news:

Today I had a VERY special delivery from a local florist.

My Uncle Robin and Aunt Debby got word of the sad demise of the ficus tree and sent this as a replacement.  What a thoughtful gesture!  I was so touched and excited.  Here’s hoping for 30 more years…

    To Meredith, Robin, and Debby,
This gesture brought back vivid memories of the day after Meredith was born and you arrived with the original ficus tree, now dead, in my hospital room. It was a thoughtful gesture then, and it is even more thoughtful now. I have to say that this ficus is a little bigger and more carefully groomed than the original one. Nevertheless, Meredith, I join your Uncle Robin and Aunt Debbie in wishing you another very prosperous, joyful 30 years of precious life. And may this ficus tree live through the antics of three healthy boys! love to all, mom/Nancy
