I went this morning to what could be one of my favorite events of the whole year…Muffins for Mom with the Kindergartners.  All 8 classes gathered in the cafeteria to sing us songs ("You are my Sunshine") and present us with gifts.  At Jacob’s table I had 3 kids whose moms weren’t there (2 of them showed up a little later) while they were singing.  So I had Jacob and his buddy, Zachary, singing to me on each side and Emily crying big tears on my lap.  It broke my heart!  These little ones just love their mommies.  The teachers made all of the muffins…bless their hearts, as if a teacher has time to be making 4 dozen muffins!  I got a paper bouquet of flowers, a large envelope with handmade stationery and a card that had typed sentences about why I was special with drawings to go with it. 

"My mom is special becuz she likes me." Jacob wrote.
