So, I’ve been trying to have the boys say "yes, ma’am" to me when it seems appropriate (and they know when it’s appropriate how? you ask). Trust me when I say, "They know when it’s appropriate!"  It’s something we had to do growing up and it served me well.  And it just plain sounds better…
