what Caleb said to me yesterday.  We were dropping Jacob off at a friend’s house to play after school.  Caleb asked several times if he was going too, but I had to remind him that this was Jacob’s play date.  I took Jacob up to the door, said goodbye and when I got back in the car, Caleb said this,

"It’s OK.  Mommies are better than friends."

What a sweetie, he is!  I’m going to pull this out when he’s 15, as a reminder.
