Ronan Tynan (www.ronantynan.net) appeared on a Mormon Tabernacle Choir broadcast (Music and the Spoken Word) back in October as their special guest.  And his voice blew me away.  We saw it again today, and Derek felt the same way.  I will be buying both of his CD’s this week and will loan them to anyone interested.  But you can listen to clips on his website (click on Music for a list of songs from the new CD).  We love the songs he sang on the broadcast (Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears and Passing Through…a song he wrote for his mom who has Alzheimer’s).  He also has an amazing story…his legs were amputated as a child and he went on to win a gold medal in the Paralympic Games.  I love a good Irish Tenor.  (Derek’s working on the accent and the voice! :).
